Hikmet Pekgöz might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zekeriya Keşif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hikmet Pekgöz ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egemen Cengel in the 35th minute of play forced the Kingdom of ERT's goalkeeper Zekeriya Keşif to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. the Kingdom of ERT's Zekeriya Keşif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egemen Cengel in the 42nd minute of play. If Yılmaz Değirmencioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ali Galip Özarkın to make the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Bornova SK's Egemen Cengel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zekeriya Keşif was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Yılmaz Değirmencioğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cengiz Durualp was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Ali Galip Özarkın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yılmaz Değirmencioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cengiz Durualp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Galip Özarkın in the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Naim Seylan during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of the Kingdom of ERT booed when Bornova SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naim Seylan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
