The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gürkan Nihat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Selim Ünalan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gürkan Nihat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Ferit Dafi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arcan Gariboğlu in the 10th minute. Niyazi Egin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Niyazi Egin sped through Ergani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Selim Ünalan. Mehmet Ferit Dafi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reşit Gökçek in the 20th minute of the match. Tuncer Akgündüz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Mehmet Ferit Dafi made a huge save. Adıyaman 02's Mehmet Ferit Dafi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şeref Çetinalp in the 27th minute of play. If Niyazi Egin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gürkan Nihat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selim Ünalan having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Adıyaman 02's Niyazi Egin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Selim Ünalan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Niyazi Egin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adıyaman 02 were furious when Alkın Murtaza was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Adıyaman 02! In the 47th minute, Adem Öktürk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adıyaman 02 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Niyazi Egin made the kick off in the second half. Şeref Çetinalp scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehmet Ferit Dafi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Buğrahan Baytekin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Adıyaman 02 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buğrahan Baytekin couldn't finish the play. When Özgün Özdoğal fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ergani's protests and gave Özgün Özdoğal a yellow card for diving instead. Ergani's Selim Ünalan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Ergani from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Ferit Dafi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reşit Gökçek, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 88th minute Tuncer Akgündüz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Ferit Dafi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Aytaç Sanal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adıyaman 02's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ergani the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niyazi Egin in the 95th minute of play forced Ergani's goalkeeper Selim Ünalan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tuncer Akgündüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Mehmet Ferit Dafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehmet Ferit Dafi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tuncer Akgündüz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Adıyaman 02 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adıyaman 02 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
