The referee ignored Akcaabat's protests and gave Uluç Yalvaç a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Basyayla booed when Akcaabat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uluç Yalvaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aytaç İlkutay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Akcaabat's Ahmet Fikret İltemir got control of the ball when Aytaç İlkutay tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Volkan Akbora shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Fikret İltemir showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Akcaabat's goal looked a bit too open when Gökcan Sağbilge came free, but Ahmet Fikret İltemir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fazlı Yöner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulaş Namdar's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ulaş Namdar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fazlı Yöner having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Batıkan Çol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 played minutes Basyayla got a freekick which was hit by İlhami Yalkın. Batıkan Çol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Aytaç İlkutay came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Basyayla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aytaç İlkutay couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd match minute, Akcaabat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rasim Özgurel to maneuver through the defense. Ulaş Namdar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Batıkan Çol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gencay Latif hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Fazlı Yöner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Batıkan Çol in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, one of Akcaabat:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Akcaabat. Aytaç İlkutay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. After 75 minutes of play, Akcaabat's Batıkan Çol made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fazlı Yöner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basyayla's Fazlı Yöner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulaş Namdar in the 80th minute of play. If Selim Menderes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute Gökcan Sağbilge suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 85 minutes of play Akcaabat's Uluç Yalvaç was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Akcaabat's Uluç Yalvaç got a free kick in the 87th minute. Aytaç İlkutay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Fikret İltemir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Batıkan Çol came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Akcaabat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batıkan Çol couldn't finish the play.
