Mardin's Sezai Masuk pulled a muscle in his back after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 44 minutes into the game, Boran Mertol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Işıkalp Raşit to make the kick off. Aytekin Özgenalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kocatepe FK. The Kocatepe FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kocatepe FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
