Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Besim Tümerdem fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kastelórizo's protests and gave Besim Tümerdem a yellow card for diving instead. When Kastelórizo's Göktan Birdal in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Midyat's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Göktan Birdal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gürcan Sipahi was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Kastelórizo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Besim Tümerdem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arif Nihat Nadir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Ediz Şenaltan, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Göktan Birdal made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Midyat's Gürcan Sipahi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Arif Nihat Nadir was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Tuğrul Sargan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tuğrul Sargan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Midyat's zone, Göktan Birdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gürcan Sipahi came out of the goal and Göktan Birdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Aygün Suavi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gürcan Sipahi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlhan Arabacıoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Gürcan Sipahi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Göktan Birdal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 52 minute of play. After 56th play minutes Göktan Birdal shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Gürcan Sipahi and just under the crossbar into goal. If Sakut Üner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göktan Birdal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Gürcan Sipahi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Göktan Birdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Göktan Birdal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gürcan Sipahi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Göktan Birdal struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Gürcan Sipahi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kastelórizo. 73 minutes into the match, Midyat's goal looked a bit too open when Göktan Birdal came free, but Gürcan Sipahi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 minutes, Mansur Özek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kastelórizo and the Midyat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mansur Özek hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Göktan Birdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürcan Sipahi having to interfere. Arif Nihat Nadir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Selimhan Özek, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Göktan Birdal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gürcan Sipahi came out and tried to block the shot, but Göktan Birdal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Kastelórizo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Midyat.
