The referee ignored Akkus JK's protests and gave Suat Pektaşi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Akkus JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Suat Pektaşi to maneuver through the defense. Muzaffer Gümüş, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ulaş Oksu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birant Ağın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eren Tarhun got free with Kandemir Kotuz in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kandemir Kotuz made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Eren Tarhun sent off a good shot on target. When Birant Ağın came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Gelibolu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birant Ağın couldn't finish the play. Akkus JK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 45th minute of the match Muzaffer Gümüş shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulaş Oksu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gelibolu's Kandemir Kotuz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Gelibolu from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Halil Tunçtürk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Göktan Bakkalbaşı managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gelibolu's supporters rose to their feet, but Göktan Bakkalbaşı was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulaş Oksu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute Göktan Bakkalbaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulaş Oksu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the game, one of Gelibolu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Haşim Tülek shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Göktan Bakkalbaşı was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Gelibolu booed when Akkus JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suat Pektaşi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Akkus JK got a freekick which was hit by Haşim Tülek. Ulaş Oksu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muzaffer Gümüş, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
