After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Mehmet Şefik Saik managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The wind increased when Mehmet Şefik Saik made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Istinye's goalkeeper Yavuz Selim Tanır had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sungurbey Çetinsu. The goalkeeper, Yavuz Selim Tanır, was totally fooled by Almus FK's Halil Can İzgi, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When Ertuğrul Tuğalp fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almus FK's protests and gave Ertuğrul Tuğalp a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Almus FK got a freekick which was hit by Ertuğrul Tuğalp. Namık Kemal Mahşer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Namık Kemal Mahşer fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Istinye's protests and gave Namık Kemal Mahşer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Istinye's Timur Sayraç got a free kick in the 74th minute. Yavuz Selim Tanır showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil Can İzgi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Mehmet Şefik Saik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Ali Özkurt having to interfere. If Mehmet Şefik Saik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yavuz Selim Tanır made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sungurbey Çetinsu in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Almus FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Istinye.
