Sungur Helvacıoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haşim İlkin in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Bakirköy booed when Cesme JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güner Atabek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesme JK's Sungur Helvacıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göktan Perinçek in the 8th minute of play. Kutalp Kutsalmis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Gündüz Sertaçgil having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Göktan Perinçek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakirköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cesme JK the free kick. The supporters of Cesme JK booed when Bakirköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktan Perinçek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bektaş Veli Okyanus charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bektaş Veli Okyanus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Göktan Perinçek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sungur Helvacıoğlu having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Göktan Perinçek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Baykam Şölen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmet Gündüz Sertaçgil. Bakirköy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baykam Şölen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Akif İncirli hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. If Baykam Şölen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 minutes of play Bakirköy's Bektaş Veli Okyanus was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Bakirköy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bakirköy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
