In the 6th minute Oğuzkan Bozoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Payidar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GSARAY defense, Halit Baykurt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mustafa Anıl Tacik. The GSARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mustafa Anıl Tacik should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Selim getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mehmet Ediz Eroğul hit a great ball. Halit Baykurt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Mustafa Anıl Tacik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Selim's Batı Kaşif got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Selim's Ali Payidar got control of the ball when Akşemseddin Erendiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bünyamin Temizel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Selim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 42 minutes into the game, Rüstem Akkaş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GSARAY the free kick. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Selim! Mümtaz Uluşahin hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Selim were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After recieving a nice pass, Selim's Behzat Kazakhan tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bünyamin Temizel kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Üzeyir Uygun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GSARAY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Üzeyir Uygun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oğuzkan Bozoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akşemseddin Erendiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Anıl Tacik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The Selim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
