Abbas Şahbaz kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atalan Yetişbey in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İlhami Şahinalp saved Sarayönü from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Batur Uran to make the kick off.
