After 3 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Alpertunga Esay. After 7 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Alpertunga Esay. Raşit Akçam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pars Cesur, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When Talha Akkanoğlu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Talha Akkanoğlu couldn't finish the play. In the 18thth minute of the game Fikret Ümran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tasova's Yahya Ergünay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Köksal Özyurek notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bornova's Raşit Akçam. Raşit Akçam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Bornova's Talha Akkanoğlu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yahya Ergünay. Yahya Ergünay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Márcio de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andaç Sefaaddin kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Márcio de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. After having played for 36 minutes, Fikret Ümran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fikret Ümran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Talha Akkanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yahya Ergünay having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pars Cesur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Pars Cesur came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Tasova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pars Cesur couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Bornova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alpertunga Esay to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Bornova's Cemal Balta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cemal Balta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bornova protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cemal Balta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Fikret Ümran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yahya Ergünay having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tasova's goalkeeper Yahya Ergünay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Çakır Sadullah kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fikret Ümran in the 73rd minute of play forced Tasova's goalkeeper Yahya Ergünay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Fikret Ümran hit a great ball. Raşit Akçam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pars Cesur in the 77th minute of play. Andaç Sefaaddin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Raşit Akçam made a huge save. Güralp Ongel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Yahya Ergünay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bornova defense, Muammer Ayvazoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raşit Akçam. The Bornova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raşit Akçam should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Fikret Ümran sped through Tasova's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yahya Ergünay. Pars Cesur's late challenge caught a Bornova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pars Cesur helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Tasova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pars Cesur to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Talha Akkanoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
