The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gökay Ülmen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Capa's Özden Bedük got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Şaban İbiş in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peyami Ozansoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the game, Özden Bedük was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cemisgezek JK the free kick. Capa's Peyami Ozansoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şaban İbiş in the 13th minute of play. Yakup Kadri Beyzade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cumali Attaroğlu having to interfere. Poyraz Baykal kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Yakup Kadri Beyzade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cemisgezek JK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sarp Şeref made a kick off. If Sarp Şeref had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cemisgezek JK fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Cemisgezek JK's Şaban İbiş looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th match minute, Cemisgezek JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Poyraz Baykal to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Yakup Kadri Beyzade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capa's supporters rose to their feet, but Yakup Kadri Beyzade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cumali Attaroğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Yakup Kadri Beyzade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cumali Attaroğlu was relentless in the 66th minute of the game.
