In the 11th minute, Binali Cihansah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oğuzalp Kutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bornova FK's Erhan Vecih got a free kick in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Şaban Aytekin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bornova FK's Kaptan Soyurgal. Kaptan Soyurgal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yavuz Selimhan Tanbek to make the kick off. If Yaman Aktürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaptan Soyurgal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Binali Cihansah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bornova FK's Yavuz Selimhan Tanbek got a free kick in the 61st minute. Bornova FK's Necmettin Yanar got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Necmettin Yanar off the ground. In the 78th match minute, Bornova FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necmettin Yanar to maneuver through the defense. Kaptan Soyurgal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Binali Cihansah in the 95th minute of the match. With a little luck, Sürüc SK's Ercüment İdrisoğlu got control of the ball when Yaman Aktürk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bornova FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
