If Sarper Tükelay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sarper Tükelay in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Direnç saved Mahmudiye JK from getting behind. The supporters of Eyüp booed when Mahmudiye JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Utku Çoğaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sarper Uğursay in the 20th minute of play forced Mahmudiye JK's goalkeeper Ahmet Direnç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Mahmudiye JK's Atabey Oktan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hazar Perviz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Mehmet Oğuz Argun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hazar Perviz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Eyüp's Behçet Tanyol got a free kick in the 37th minute. Eyüp's Hazar Perviz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Eyüp from getting a goal against them. Mehmet Oğuz Argun might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hazar Perviz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Oğuz Argun ran back to his position shaking his head. In a very dangerous position, a player in Eyüp fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atabey Oktan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hazar Perviz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Atabey Oktan went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sarper Tükelay in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmet Direnç prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Mahmudiye JK's zone, Sarper Tükelay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Direnç came out of the goal and Sarper Tükelay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Mehmet Oğuz Argun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mahmudiye JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Oğuz Argun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Mehmet Oğuz Argun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Hazar Perviz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sarper Tükelay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Eyüp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Necaettin Togay to maneuver through the defense. Sarper Tükelay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Direnç having to interfere. Hazar Perviz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atabey Oktan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eyüp's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
