Hayyam Özen kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Uçkan came free, but Zaid Ortaç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Denizhan Uzma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fenerbahçe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mersin the free kick. Denizhan Uzma hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Özbek Cire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zaid Ortaç having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Hüseyin Rahmi Uçkan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zaid Ortaç. In the 27th minute, one of Mersin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mersin. The goalkeeper, Feyzullay Akçay, was totally fooled by Fenerbahçe's Denizhan Uzma, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Özbek Cire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalay Boran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mersin's Feyzullay Akçay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enis Behiç İmar in the 38th minute of play. Oğuzalp Müslim might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zaid Ortaç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oğuzalp Müslim ran back to his position shaking his head. Zaid Ortaç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özbek Cire in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Mersin's Oğuzalp Müslim got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oğuzalp Müslim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peker Durdu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enis Behiç İmar in the 60th minute of play forced Mersin's goalkeeper Feyzullay Akçay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Oğuzalp Müslim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mersin's supporters rose to their feet, but Oğuzalp Müslim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zaid Ortaç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper Zaid Ortaç, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Özbek Cire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oğuzalp Müslim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zaid Ortaç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feyzullay Akçay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe. Enis Behiç İmar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feyzullay Akçay having to make a save. If Oğuzalp Müslim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enis Behiç İmar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Feyzullay Akçay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahçe's zone, Oğuzalp Müslim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zaid Ortaç came out of the goal and Oğuzalp Müslim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oğuzalp Müslim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mersin were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Fenerbahçe to leave the ground with a draw.
