The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferman Karaman in the 5th minute of play forced FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s goalkeeper Anıl Cenk Özyurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saffet Sunay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s Anıl Cenk Özyurt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saffet Sunay in the 9th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Artun Ruhi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caycuma FK the free kick. The supporters of Caycuma FK booed when FENERBAHÇE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artun Ruhi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hüseyin Bergin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ali Ömer Hür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If İldeniz Sarih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batı Özcebe kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ali Ömer Hür made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Hüseyin Bergin sent off a good shot on target. İldeniz Sarih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. From a short distance, FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s İldeniz Sarih, in the 29th minute, tried to place the ball behind Ali Ömer Hür, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. İldeniz Sarih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Ali Ömer Hür took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Bergin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 minutes of play FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s Artun Ruhi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Artun Ruhi hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Caycuma FK booed when FENERBAHÇE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. İldeniz Sarih didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Serhan Himmet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s Anıl Cenk Özyurt didn't even have to move. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferman Karaman got free with Anıl Cenk Özyurt in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferman Karaman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anıl Cenk Özyurt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Caycuma FK booed when FENERBAHÇE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hasan Necmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serhan Himmet shot from long distance in the 64th minute, but Anıl Cenk Özyurt was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Saffet Sunay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caycuma FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Saffet Sunay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anıl Cenk Özyurt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s goalkeeper Anıl Cenk Özyurt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferman Karaman. The supporters of Caycuma FK booed when FENERBAHÇE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahim Tuğsavaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caycuma FK's Serhan Himmet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FENERBAHÇE F.C.. Ferman Karaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Anıl Cenk Özyurt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hasan Necmi's late challenge caught a Caycuma FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hasan Necmi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FENERBAHÇE F.C.'s Hasan Necmi got a free kick in the 89th minute. Caycuma FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
