The audience thought a goal was coming when Zafer İshak got free with Aktuğ Tunçkan in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Şükrü Adar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şükrü Adar was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Cankaya JK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. İlkan Güngör hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Doğaner Egelioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köse JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Doğaner Egelioğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alican Talat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Köse JK's Aktuğ Tunçkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zafer İshak in the 21st minute of play. Şükrü Adar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aktuğ Tunçkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aktuğ Tunçkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şükrü Adar in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Cankaya JK booed when Köse JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serter Erdursun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Köse JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doğaner Egelioğlu to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Köse JK's goalkeeper Aktuğ Tunçkan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zafer İshak. Şükrü Adar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doğaner Egelioğlu to make the kick off. Şükrü Adar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aktuğ Tunçkan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 99th minute of play.
