With a little luck, Bahce's Tekin Sanak got control of the ball when Zeki Davarcı tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Artaç Ongar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cinar's Hasret Sulasi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Bahce booed when Cinar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. İrfan Ozansoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Şahin Bucuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeki Davarcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tekin Sanak having to interfere. Tekin Sanak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeki Davarcı in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Tansel Mehmet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tekin Sanak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hasret Sulasi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samim Saatçioğlu's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Tekin Sanak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İrfan Ozansoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tansel Mehmet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zeki Davarcı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tekin Sanak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Cinar's Tansel Mehmet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tekin Sanak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tekin Sanak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tansel Mehmet in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Duman Er mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahce and the Cinar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Duman Er hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Bahce's goal looked a bit too open when Zeki Davarcı came free, but Tekin Sanak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Abdulhamit Subahi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cinar the free kick. Hasret Sulasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samim Saatçioğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Şahin Bucuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bahce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Şahin Bucuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Bahce's Şahin Bucuk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hasret Sulasi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Şahin Bucuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahce's supporters rose to their feet, but Şahin Bucuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hasret Sulasi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bahce walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
