In the 4th minute, Göztepe FK's Batuğ Ramiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hüsrev Aker. Hüsrev Aker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Ata Tekdoğan came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Göztepe FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ata Tekdoğan couldn't finish the play. 9 minutes into the game, Aytek Üstay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saricakaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Göztepe FK the free kick. Aytek Üstay hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Lütfü Ateşoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korcan Uluç having to interfere. Hüsrev Aker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batuğ Ramiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Batuğ Ramiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Göztepe FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saricakaya:s goal. The referee gave Saricakaya a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Doğaner Özmert, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Göztepe FK's Korcan Uluç. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Göztepe FK's zone, Lütfü Ateşoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korcan Uluç came out of the goal and Lütfü Ateşoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Korcan Uluç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lütfü Ateşoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Göztepe FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ömer Rıza Taze to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Lütfü Ateşoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ata Tekdoğan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Hüsrev Aker made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batuğ Ramiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hüsrev Aker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batuğ Ramiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Saricakaya's Lütfü Ateşoğlu suffered a sore thigh after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 67 minutes of play Göztepe FK's Mehmet Fatih Boysel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mehmet Fatih Boysel kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Enginsu Pekergin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Saricakaya's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Korcan Uluç came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Saricakaya's Mustafa Arif Eroğuz. But to his dismay, Mustafa Arif Eroğuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 75th minute Enginsu Pekergin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korcan Uluç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korcan Uluç was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Doğaner Özmert. Mustafa Arif Eroğuz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Göztepe FK's goal looked a bit too open when Enginsu Pekergin came free, but Korcan Uluç reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aytek Üstay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aytek Üstay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Göztepe FK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Saricakaya's performance. The match ended with a win for Saricakaya.
