Birsel Keyhüsrev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakkı Kenan Refah, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Süleyman Kuddus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doruk Eralkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Lixandro took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Özgün İdris. Özgün İdris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Özgün İdris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esenspor FK. Esenspor FK's Birsel Keyhüsrev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Kenan Refah in the 40th minute of play. Guido Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özgün İdris having to interfere. If Guido Lixandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Esenspor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Hamdullah Besim came free, but Birsel Keyhüsrev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamdullah Besim made a kick off. Celtikci's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esenspor FK the free kick. In the 82nd match minute, Celtikci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erenay Akdurmuş to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Doruk Eralkan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Guido Lixandro came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Esenspor FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Lixandro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Esenspor FK booed when Celtikci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bahri Temizsoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celtikci succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Esenspor FK had controlled the match.
