Hamdullah Besim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Korcan Uluç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Özgün İdris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batuğ Ramiz in the 44th minute of the match. Ata Tekdoğan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zikri Keskin's late challenge caught a Göztepe FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zikri Keskin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Zikri Keskin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamdullah Besim was the one to do the kick off. Korcan Uluç stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamdullah Besim's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Dinçer Hatim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celtikci's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinçer Hatim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Korcan Uluç breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Göztepe FK's Korcan Uluç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamdullah Besim in the 61st minute of play. Özgün İdris made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ata Tekdoğan sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute of the match Ali Cengiz Onursoy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Korcan Uluç skillfully saved the ball. After 95 minutes of play, Celtikci's Hakkı Kenan Refah made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Korcan Uluç was left in no man's land by his defense there! Celtikci's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
