Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Refahiye FK's Baturay Baştürk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Refahiye FK's Baturay Baştürk in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GALATASARAY's goalie prevented a goal. Faik Tanırer charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faik Tanırer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baturay Baştürk scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kunter Şenaltan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Emir Kabataş hit a great ball. Refahiye FK's Sezgin Derdiyok proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Refahiye FK from getting a goal against them. If Baturay Baştürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Alptuğ Vefi came free, but Kunter Şenaltan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdulkerim İnciroğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sezgin Derdiyok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Abdulkerim İnciroğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sezgin Derdiyok. Abdulkerim İnciroğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. GALATASARAY's Faik Tanırer got his second yellow card of the match in the 33rd minute. The referee ordered Faik Tanırer off the ground. Kunter Şenaltan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturay Baştürk in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Refahiye FK's goalkeeper Sezgin Derdiyok had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bedir Lokman. Cüneyd Suerdem's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cüneyd Suerdem helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Refahiye FK's Cüneyd Suerdem got a free kick in the 39th minute. GALATASARAY's Kunter Şenaltan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alptuğ Vefi in the 42nd minute of play. GALATASARAY's Bedir Lokman got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Refahiye FK's zone, Bedir Lokman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sezgin Derdiyok came out of the goal and Bedir Lokman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bedir Lokman made the kick off in the second half. Sezgin Derdiyok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulkerim İnciroğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Refahiye FK got a freekick which was hit by Cüneyd Suerdem. Kemal Özveren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sezgin Derdiyok. Refahiye FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bedir Lokman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Derdiyok having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Refahiye FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nusrettin Hanefi to maneuver through the defense. When Abdulkerim İnciroğlu fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY's protests and gave Abdulkerim İnciroğlu a yellow card for diving instead. 70 minutes into the match, Refahiye FK's Baturay Baştürk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kunter Şenaltan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Sufi Özçınar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baturay Baştürk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Kunter Şenaltan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bedir Lokman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Derdiyok having to interfere. After some careless play in the Refahiye FK defense, Erkin Erbay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sezgin Derdiyok. The Refahiye FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sezgin Derdiyok should have stopped the shot. The Refahiye FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Refahiye FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
