Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Genc JK's Burhan Uygu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Genc JK's İlbey Bozkurt pulled a muscle in his leg after 5 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enginsu Erbay during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Göztepe got a freekick which was hit by Enginsu Erbay. Ergün Köksal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ergün Köksal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazım Rıfkı having to interfere. Hayyam Ergök fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazım Rıfkı having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Ergün Köksal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ergün Köksal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Enginsu Erbay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göztepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Enginsu Erbay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusuf Ziya Çoğaş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Genc JK's Ergün Köksal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nazım Rıfkı. Nazım Rıfkı yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Ergün Köksal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genc JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ergün Köksal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazım Rıfkı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 37 minutes, Savaşer Elmas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genc JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Savaşer Elmas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nazım Rıfkı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ergün Köksal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ergün Köksal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nazım Rıfkı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ergün Köksal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Enginsu Erbay made the kick off in the second half. Ali Emir Uzcan tried in the 51st minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Yusuf Ziya Çoğaş a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-1. When Ergün Köksal came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Genc JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ergün Köksal couldn't finish the play. If Ergün Köksal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Ergün Köksal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genc JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ergün Köksal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Enginsu Erbay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nazım Rıfkı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ergün Köksal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Ergün Köksal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazım Rıfkı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Göztepe's zone, Ergün Köksal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazım Rıfkı came out of the goal and Ergün Köksal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ergün Köksal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayyam Ergök recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
