Oyak's Şenel Gence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bülent Diriğ in the 15th minute of play. Sefa Hazarbeyoğlu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Enes Üçer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karataş Sk's supporters rose to their feet, but Enes Üçer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şenel Gence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
