Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ahmet Bülent Türel kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göktan Pekergin in the 3rd minute of play forced Istanbul's goalkeeper Lokman Saykut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samim Üçok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Nasir Yazar in the 4th minute of play. Samim Üçok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Nasir Yazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Istanbul's Ahmet Nasir Yazar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Göktan Pekergin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lokman Saykut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lokman Saykut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiğit Toprak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göktan Pekergin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Nasir Yazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samim Üçok was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Göktan Pekergin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Lokman Saykut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 minutes, Macit Orbey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edirne and the Istanbul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Edirne's Macit Orbey got a free kick in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes, Istanbul's Sadri Rafet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samim Üçok came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Istanbul reached it. Ahmet Bülent Türel struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lokman Saykut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edirne. In the 57th minute, Göktan Pekergin made a precise shot to the right of Lokman Saykut. Istanbul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Istanbul's Arif Tugay Ulusu got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yiğit Toprak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lokman Saykut didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yiğit Toprak went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Yüksel Balıkçıoğlu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Yiğit Toprak scored 1-5 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lokman Saykut, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ahmet Bülent Türel hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Istanbul's Sadri Rafet got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st match minute, Edirne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macit Orbey to maneuver through the defense. Lokman Saykut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Bülent Türel in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Ahmet Nasir Yazar made it 2-5 with a short kick to the right side. Edirne's Samim Üçok tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mert Mertol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edirne played a much better game than Istanbul and deserved their victory. The Istanbul players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
