Şahap Birge was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Çağan Neşat capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Çağan Neşat really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Savaşer Toregün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Menemen booed when Sapanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Buğra Ünseven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mevlüt Oğurata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Mustafa Cumhur Başol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savaşer Toregün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mustafa Cumhur Başol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Savaşer Toregün's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Mevlüt Oğurata took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Cumhur Başol. Mustafa Cumhur Başol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 38th minute, Savaşer Toregün made a precise shot to the right of Mustafa Cumhur Başol. Sapanca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 43 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goal looked a bit too open when Mevlüt Oğurata came free, but Mustafa Cumhur Başol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savaşer Toregün in the 44th minute of play forced Sapanca's goalkeeper Mustafa Cumhur Başol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

52 minutes into the match, Menemen's goal looked a bit too open when Abay Mutluhan came free, but Şahap Birge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savaşer Toregün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sapanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menemen the free kick. 66 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goal looked a bit too open when Savaşer Toregün came free, but Mustafa Cumhur Başol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goalkeeper Mustafa Cumhur Başol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mevlüt Oğurata. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sapanca's goalkeeper Mustafa Cumhur Başol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Savaşer Toregün came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Menemen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Savaşer Toregün couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Sapanca's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mevlüt Oğurata fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mevlüt Oğurata struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Mustafa Cumhur Başol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menemen. 81 minutes into the match, Menemen's goal looked a bit too open when Çağan Neşat came free, but Şahap Birge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savaşer Toregün was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Menemen's Şahap Birge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mithat Özengin in the 91st minute of play. Çağan Neşat took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şahap Birge. Şahap Birge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Many of Menemen's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Menemen may have spent more time on the ball, but Sapanca were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
