The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Yeniköy SK fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Yeniköy SK's Sadri Karin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mehmet Emin Çanak hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes Varto FK got a freekick which was hit by Basri Baysungur. Sait Azimoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytekin Okcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Arda Göksel Argun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Armağan Öztaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sait Azimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aytekin Okcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Varto FK's goal looked a bit too open when Aytekin Okcan came free, but Sait Azimoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Denizhan Ökmener fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varto FK's protests and gave Denizhan Ökmener a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Varto FK's Denizhan Ökmener got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Aytekin Okcan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basri Baysungur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Armağan Öztaş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sadri Karin to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Aytekin Okcan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yeniköy SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Varto FK the free kick. In the 54th minute, Yeniköy SK's Sadri Karin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 58 minutes into the match, Varto FK's Basri Baysungur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armağan Öztaş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Varto FK's Sait Azimoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Varto FK from getting a goal against them. Sait Azimoğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sadri Karin's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Mutlu Nurullah hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Aytekin Okcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Sait Azimoğlu made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beşir Civanmert during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Varto FK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Beşir Civanmert hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aytekin Okcan got free with Sait Azimoğlu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Varto FK's Denizhan Ökmener got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Denizhan Ökmener off the ground. Denizhan Ökmener hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match.
