Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Football Club İstanbul's Korkutalp Azer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match, Keramettin Akyazı tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Football Club İstanbul's Ali Cafer Öner got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Hazım Uralp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DIYARBAKIRSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hazım Uralp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes, Selim Okaner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DIYARBAKIRSPOR and the Football Club İstanbul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes DIYARBAKIRSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Selim Okaner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hazım Uralp got free with Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as DIYARBAKIRSPOR's Keramettin Akyazı slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Keramettin Akyazı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları having to interfere. A collision led to Football Club İstanbul getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Güner Şahan hit a great ball. Arsene Vanger, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Keramettin Akyazı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Keramettin Akyazı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Hazım Uralp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keramettin Akyazı to make the kick off. When Keramettin Akyazı came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the DIYARBAKIRSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keramettin Akyazı couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hazım Uralp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korkutalp Azer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Football Club İstanbul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 71st minute Behçet Sadir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Namık Lütufkâr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keramettin Akyazı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Hazım Uralp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Football Club İstanbul's zone, Mehmet Oğuz Eryavuz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Gökalp Osmanoğulları came out of the goal and Mehmet Oğuz Eryavuz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Namık Lütufkâr during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Namık Lütufkâr hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Keramettin Akyazı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
