Alphan Temirhan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hürkan Okdağ. Basbasi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sezai Altunhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genco Radi having to interfere. Bedir Tekrim's late challenge caught a Basbasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bedir Tekrim helped the player get up and apologised. Bedir Tekrim hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Sezai Altunhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eray Baran to strike the kick off in the second half. When Menderes Sayıl came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Basbasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menderes Sayıl couldn't finish the play. Basbasi's Sezai Altunhan got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genco Radi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menderes Sayıl in the 95th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Basbasi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
