When Cankut Acarbay came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Karatay FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cankut Acarbay couldn't finish the play. Latif Tanırcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Karatay FK's Yiğitcan Çerağ got a free kick in the 15th minute. Rasim Samir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emrullah Toycan having to interfere. Talip Eyüpoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saffet Ocakoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Saffet Ocakoğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Karatay FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Cankut Acarbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Talip Eyüpoğlu was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Emrullah Toycan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Latif Tanırcan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Latif Tanırcan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emrullah Toycan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Latif Tanırcan went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cankut Acarbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Talip Eyüpoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saffet Ocakoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Talip Eyüpoğlu having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Karatay FK's goal looked a bit too open when Latif Tanırcan came free, but Emrullah Toycan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
