The audience was convinced that Alp Saylan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enginalp Eraslan was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. A collision led to Gökceada getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mustafa Namık Askeroğlu hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Baybars Barkan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uzunköprü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baybars Barkan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baybars Barkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doruk Oncel's late challenge caught a Gökceada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doruk Oncel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gökceada booed when Uzunköprü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doruk Oncel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Namık Askeroğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Uzunköprü booed when Gökceada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ensar Ünsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Uzunköprü's Korhan Erçelik tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Uzunköprü's zone, Beşir Atlıoğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahadır Sidal came out of the goal and Beşir Atlıoğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Baybars Barkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enginalp Eraslan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alp Saylan in the 58th minute. Baybars Barkan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enginalp Eraslan having to interfere. If Ahmet İlke Namal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alp Saylan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Gökceada's goalkeeper Enginalp Eraslan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alp Saylan. In the 83rd play minute Alp Saylan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Enginalp Eraslan. 0-1. In the 87th minute, Alp Saylan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Baybars Barkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uzunköprü's supporters rose to their feet, but Baybars Barkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enginalp Eraslan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enginalp Eraslan came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Uzunköprü's Baybars Barkan. But to his dismay, Baybars Barkan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Gökceada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Uzunköprü's performance. The match ended with a win for Uzunköprü.
