The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Fevzi Olcaytu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catalcesme's supporters rose to their feet, but Fevzi Olcaytu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doruk Kuntman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oktay Özgun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Songur Akabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oktay Özgun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emran Taybars in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demircan Atasagun during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Tophane got a freekick which was hit by Demircan Atasagun. In the 34th minute Songur Akabe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oktay Özgun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fatih Saip might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doruk Kuntman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fatih Saip ran back to his position shaking his head. When Fatih Saip, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 42 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Doruk Kuntman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fatih Saip to make the kick off. Oktay Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Songur Akabe in the 52nd minute of the match. Yavuz Lebib scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oktay Özgun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hakkı Deniz Yeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Oktay Özgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Tophane got a freekick which was hit by İsmail Taykurt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Songur Akabe in the 68th minute of play forced Catalcesme's goalkeeper Oktay Özgun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oktay Özgun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hakkı Deniz Yeten went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Fatih Saip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doruk Kuntman having to interfere. Oktay Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emran Taybars in the 80th minute of the match. Catalcesme's Oktay Özgun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Deniz Yeten in the 83rd minute of play. Oktay Özgun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emran Taybars in the 84th minute of the match. Fevzi Olcaytu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Doruk Kuntman firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tophane had won after a very even match.
