In the 12th minute Eray Yoruk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aktuğ Günay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aktuğ Günay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Ceyhan Elmas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Kerimhan Ayazoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Erdoğan Şahabeddin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Hayrullah Pamirhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Üzeyir Tekke was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 34th minute, Yıldıray Nurtac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Efe Yelmen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Üzeyir Tekke came out and tried to block the shot, but Ahmet Efe Yelmen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bursaspor FC's zone, Eray Yoruk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aktuğ Günay came out of the goal and Eray Yoruk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Efe Yelmen made a kick off. Hayrullah Pamirhan kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Ahmet Efe Yelmen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Üzeyir Tekke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ahmet Efe Yelmen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bursaspor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Efe Yelmen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Üzeyir Tekke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. One of Erzurumspor SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bursaspor FC:s goal. Üzeyir Tekke went to the wrong direction when Ahmet Efe Yelmen was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The supporters of Bursaspor FC booed when Erzurumspor SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Ceyhan Elmas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hayrullah Pamirhan fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bursaspor FC's protests and gave Hayrullah Pamirhan a yellow card for diving instead. Ahmet Efe Yelmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Üzeyir Tekke having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Erzurumspor SK! The supporters of Bursaspor FC booed when Erzurumspor SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Mehmet Revan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bursaspor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Efe Yelmen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bursaspor FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
