Halim Usalp was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and İslam Özgulec capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. İslam Özgulec really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With a little luck, Galatasaray FK's Halim Usalp got control of the ball when Cüneyt Secaattin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kasimpasa FK's Cüneyt Secaattin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Halim Usalp. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 25th minute Bahadır Saraç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halim Usalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by İslam Özgulec during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Kasimpasa FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Galatasaray FK a penalty, 30 minutes into the game. The supporters of Kasimpasa FK booed when Galatasaray FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Claude stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Halim Usalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tibet Paşa in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibet Paşa in the 55th minute of play forced Galatasaray FK's goalkeeper Halim Usalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Kasimpasa FK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eyüp Şükür fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Kasimpasa FK's Tibet Paşa got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute, Bahadır Saraç made a precise shot to the right of Halim Usalp. Halim Usalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Galatasaray FK defense, Bahadır Saraç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Halim Usalp. The Galatasaray FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Halim Usalp should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kasimpasa FK had played much better football throughout.
