The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Optimist yapı JR's Behçet Güzir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bozkurt Naim in the 5th minute of play. Behçet Güzir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Servet Guftar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Bozkurt Naim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behçet Güzir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Behçet Güzir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bora Han Ergazi in the 10th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Bora Han Ergazi put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Behçet Güzir. 20 minutes into the game, Gölcük FK's Gürcan Hattat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Behçet Güzir made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 25th match minute, Optimist yapı JR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nedim Ortaç to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa Namık İlham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fazıl Elfaz in the 28th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Optimist yapı JR's Mustafa Namık İlham threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sertaç Hüdayioğlu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Optimist yapı JR booed when Gölcük FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilal Gültekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nedim Ortaç took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Namık İlham. Mustafa Namık İlham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fazıl Elfaz during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fazıl Elfaz kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Optimist yapı JR got a freekick which was hit by Sertaç Hüdayioğlu. After a defensive mix-up in Gölcük FK's zone, Doğa Bostancı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Namık İlham came out of the goal and Doğa Bostancı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88thth minute of the game Nedim Ortaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gölcük FK's Mustafa Namık İlham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 96 played minutes Gölcük FK got a freekick which was hit by Bora Han Ergazi. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
