Cerkes FK's Mehmet Şefik Türkeş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulaş Nurtekin in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cerkes FK's zone, Vedat Uzman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Şefik Türkeş came out of the goal and Vedat Uzman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 8 minutes on the clock, Tekin Ünsaç commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulaş Nurtekin in the 16th minute of play forced Cerkes FK's goalkeeper Mehmet Şefik Türkeş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Şefik Türkeş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulaş Nurtekin in the 20th minute of the match. Vedat Uzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Mehmet Şefik Türkeş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Cerkes FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ulaş Nurtekin came free, but Mehmet Şefik Türkeş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulaş Nurtekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Okanay Erdemalp fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celiktepe's protests and gave Okanay Erdemalp a yellow card for diving instead. Okanay Erdemalp hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulaş Nurtekin made a kick off. Rahman Özkut came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cerkes FK's Ali Macit Topçam. But to his dismay, Ali Macit Topçam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Cerkes FK booed when Celiktepe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okanay Erdemalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Macit Topçam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rahman Özkut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarp Hekimhanlı took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rahman Özkut. Celiktepe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ali Macit Topçam struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Rahman Özkut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerkes FK. If Ataol Kayrabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cerkes FK's Mehmet Şefik Türkeş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Cerkes FK from getting a goal against them. Celiktepe's Yusuf Bahadır Hataylı got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Macit Topçam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rahman Özkut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Celiktepe getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Yusuf Bahadır Hataylı hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Vedat Uzman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celiktepe's supporters rose to their feet, but Vedat Uzman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mehmet Şefik Türkeş breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Cerkes FK's Ali Macit Topçam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rahman Özkut narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cerkes FK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
