Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ilica's İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu came free, but Yavuz Selim Işılay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Yavuz Selim Işılay 4 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the game, Ayhan Raci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilica the free kick. Sufi Açıkel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yavuz Selim Işılay. GALATASARAY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Yavuz Selim Işılay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Ender Rıfat. 26 minutes into the match, Ali Atıf Ozansu notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ilica's İsmail Orhun Sanal. İsmail Orhun Sanal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vahap Salik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ilica! The referee gave GALATASARAY a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ender Rıfat, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ilica's İsmail Orhun Sanal. 2-2. The supporters of Ilica booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ayhan Raci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fevzi Özaydın hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Ilica's İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Yavuz Selimhan Uzel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Yavuz Selim Işılay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yavuz Selim Işılay made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Onur Ali Kocaalp sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th match minute, GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulvahit İlhanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Yavuz Selim Işılay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Ali Atıf Ozansu made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilica's supporters rose to their feet, but İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yavuz Selim Işılay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onur Ali Kocaalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selim Işılay having to interfere. Vahap Salik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Orhun Sanal having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as GALATASARAY's Ali Atıf Ozansu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of İsmail Orhun Sanal. That made the score 2-3 after 69 minutes of play. Onur Ali Kocaalp struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Yavuz Selim Işılay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilica. With a little luck, Ilica's İsmail Orhun Sanal got control of the ball when Vahap Salik tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY's Yavuz Selim Işılay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY's zone, Onur Ali Kocaalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yavuz Selim Işılay came out of the goal and Onur Ali Kocaalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Onur Ali Kocaalp might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yavuz Selim Işılay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Onur Ali Kocaalp ran back to his position shaking his head. If İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. İbrahim Ethem Çiftçioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuz Selim Işılay having to interfere. Vahap Salik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İsmail Orhun Sanal having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GALATASARAY walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
