Arif Gaffar Sabancı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayyip Güdü having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Lapseki's goal looked a bit too open when Güngör Akdağ came free, but Tayyip Güdü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aydın Ülger's late challenge caught a Azdavay FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aydın Ülger helped the player get up and apologised. Bayram Saltar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ardahan Tuğbay made a huge save. Sarper Tanbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tayyip Güdü tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Güngör Akdağ kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Mutlu Özbey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardahan Tuğbay having to interfere. Tayyip Güdü showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Güngör Akdağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zühtü Hacısalihoğlu got free with Ardahan Tuğbay in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Güngör Akdağ put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tayyip Güdü. Ardahan Tuğbay was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Bayram Saltar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bayram Saltar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 41 played minutes Lapseki got a freekick which was hit by Ayvaz Raif. 42 minutes into the match, Lapseki's goal looked a bit too open when Gencal Alişan came free, but Tayyip Güdü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarper Tanbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Güngör Akdağ to make the kick off. Lapseki's Tayyip Güdü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sarper Tanbay in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Güngör Akdağ got free with Tayyip Güdü in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Güngör Akdağ struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Tayyip Güdü didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azdavay FK. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarper Tanbay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tayyip Güdü. That made the score 2-2 in the 65 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lapseki's zone, Sarper Tanbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tayyip Güdü came out of the goal and Sarper Tanbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Bayram Saltar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ardahan Tuğbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mutlu Özbey, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Güngör Akdağ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Azdavay FK's Sarper Tanbay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. If Sarper Tanbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Azdavay FK booed when Lapseki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aydın Ülger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sarper Tanbay was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Azdavay FK's Ardahan Tuğbay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayram Saltar in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Azdavay FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lapseki.
