The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Karkamis FK booed when Ispir SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasim Mirza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Karkamis FK's Hilmi Ersoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tayyip Altunhan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hilmi Ersoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayyip Altunhan having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sümer Semim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paşa Bektaş was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. If Hilmi Ersoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Niyazi Pekiner fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karkamis FK's protests and gave Niyazi Pekiner a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the game, one of Karkamis FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sümer Semim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paşa Bektaş having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hilmi Ersoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayyip Altunhan having to interfere. The Ispir SK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ispir SK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
