Numan Zikri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atilla Yetener's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zülfü Baysan got free with Gökay Rafi in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 8 played minutes, bakırköy's Dinç Umurbay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Numan Zikri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in bakırköy reached it. In the 11th minute, Armağan Peyami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Asım Ağcabey in the 15th minute of play forced bakırköy's goalkeeper Gökay Rafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gökay Rafi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abdulhamit Derdiyok. After a defensive mix-up in bakırköy's zone, Ali Asım Ağcabey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gökay Rafi came out of the goal and Ali Asım Ağcabey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ali Asım Ağcabey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökay Rafi having to interfere. Ali Asım Ağcabey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Güvenevler's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Güvenevler's Numan Zikri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armağan Peyami in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute Armağan Peyami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Numan Zikri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Numan Zikri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilla Yetener, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armağan Peyami to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Güvenevler got a freekick which was hit by Sarp Tanak. A hard shot 54 in the game by Atilla Yetener from a close distance when the talented Numan Zikri managed to make a qualified save. Güvenevler's players were relieved. Güvenevler's Zülfü Baysan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ali Asım Ağcabey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gökay Rafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, bakırköy's Arslan Hasanoğlu got a free kick in the 58th minute. bakırköy's Gökay Rafi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Asım Ağcabey in the 63rd minute of play. Armağan Peyami struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Numan Zikri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for bakırköy. 75 minutes into the match, Güvenevler's goal looked a bit too open when Armağan Peyami came free, but Numan Zikri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Asım Ağcabey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gökay Rafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zülfü Baysan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, bakırköy's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Asım Ağcabey came free, but Gökay Rafi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, İsmail Orhun Adem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güvenevler's supporters rose to their feet, but İsmail Orhun Adem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökay Rafi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zülfü Baysan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Güvenevler failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
