An unexpectedly hard shot by Faruk Sarbay in the 3rd minute of play forced Sanliurfa JK's goalkeeper Serkan Pertev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Resul Uran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macit Duha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Resul Uran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serkan Pertev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sezgin Özdeş during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kizilirmak's Sezgin Özdeş got a free kick in the 15th minute. If Faruk Sarbay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gürol İstemihan in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ertan Okcan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Faruk Sarbay came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Kizilirmak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faruk Sarbay couldn't finish the play. Sanliurfa JK's Serkan Pertev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faruk Sarbay in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Kizilirmak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferman İhsan to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Mansur Öktemer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanliurfa JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mansur Öktemer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ertan Okcan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Kizilirmak's Ertan Okcan got control of the ball when Mansur Öktemer tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mansur Öktemer got free with Ertan Okcan in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faruk Sarbay made a kick off. Mansur Öktemer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertan Okcan having to interfere. In the 71stth minute of the game Mansur Öktemer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kizilirmak's Ertan Okcan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferman İhsan was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Kizilirmak's Ferman İhsan got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Gürol İstemihan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ertan Okcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gürol İstemihan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Ertan Okcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürol İstemihan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Resul Uran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mansur Öktemer came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sanliurfa JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mansur Öktemer couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Resul Uran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Kizilirmak defense, Mansur Öktemer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ertan Okcan. The Kizilirmak fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ertan Okcan should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sanliurfa JK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kizilirmak had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
