Merih Tüzel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yiğit Erencan, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yiğit Erencan to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Özmen Yükselir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giresunspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alibeyköy FK the free kick. In the 55th match minute, Giresunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Okanalp Abdulhakimoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Emrah Tunca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Uluç Müfit's late challenge caught a Giresunspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Uluç Müfit helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Alibeyköy FK's Uluç Müfit got a free kick in the 90th minute. Sefa Şerafeddin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giresunspor were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
