In the 3rd minute, Tekin Özker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kocaelispor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Savaşer Tolgahan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Bedri Babürşah having to interfere. After 8 played minutes Kocaelispor got a freekick which was hit by Salih Yücetekin. After 9 played minutes Kocaelispor got a freekick which was hit by Ulu Rızkullah. Savaşer Tolgahan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Ahmet Bedri Babürşah when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Savaşer Tolgahan in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ahmet Bedri Babürşah saved Kocaelispor from getting behind. Baybora Derelioğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ahmet Bedri Babürşah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, BİLGİCİ SK's goal looked a bit too open when Melih Cevdet Şahsar came free, but Beşir Ersan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savaşer Tolgahan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Melih Cevdet Şahsar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kocaelispor's supporters rose to their feet, but Melih Cevdet Şahsar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beşir Ersan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beşir Ersan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feyzullay Pekalp in the 36th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Kocaelispor's Ahmet Bedri Babürşah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Savaşer Tolgahan in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 played minutes Kocaelispor got a freekick which was hit by Tekin Özker. Beşir Ersan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melih Cevdet Şahsar in the 57th minute of the match. Beşir Ersan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feyzullay Pekalp in the 60th minute. 66 minutes into the match, BİLGİCİ SK's goalkeeper Beşir Ersan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feyzullay Pekalp. Baybora Derelioğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Feyzullay Pekalp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Beşir Ersan made a huge save. Savaşer Tolgahan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kocaelispor's zone, Savaşer Tolgahan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Bedri Babürşah came out of the goal and Savaşer Tolgahan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the game, Kocaelispor's Melih Cevdet Şahsar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beşir Ersan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
