Bahtiyar Kotuzhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Akkılıç in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Ergani FK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Vahdet Kocak hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Mustafa Hakan Akkılıç got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Yunus Mirza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yunus Mirza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yunus Mirza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahtiyar Kotuzhan having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Vahdet Kocak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orkun Akar, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Ergani FK's Okaner Lütufkâr in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Okaner Lütufkâr ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Yunus Mirza made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Arın Ferhat Özgunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maltepespor FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ergani FK the free kick. The supporters of Ergani FK booed when Maltepespor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arın Ferhat Özgunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes in the game, Okaner Lütufkâr dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Yunus Mirza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Ergani FK got a freekick which was hit by Şenol Sarphan. In the 60th minute, Cahit Avşaroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vahdet Kocak hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Talat Okdağ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Haydar Sayın's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Ali Haydar Sayın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th match minute, Ergani FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şenol Sarphan to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Yunus Mirza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, Okaner Lütufkâr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Maltepespor FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olcay Orkun Erel to maneuver through the defense. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yunus Mirza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şenol Sarphan's late challenge caught a Maltepespor FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şenol Sarphan helped the player get up and apologised. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yunus Mirza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ergani FK's Bahtiyar Kotuzhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yunus Mirza in the 93rd minute of play. Maltepespor FK's Mustafa Hakan Akkılıç got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ergani FK's zone, Yunus Mirza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bahtiyar Kotuzhan came out of the goal and Yunus Mirza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maltepespor FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
