In the 7th minute Olcay Orkun Erel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cengizhan Muren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burhan Tayguner ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Talat Okdağ managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Yenifakili SK's Orhun Reşit fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cengizhan Muren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Hakan Akkılıç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Yenifakili SK's goal looked a bit too open when Yunus Mirza came free, but Cengizhan Muren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yenifakili SK booed when Maltepespor FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Hakan Akkılıç didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orhun Reşit got free with Talat Okdağ in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Burhan Tayguner was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Maltepespor FK's goal looked a bit too open when Burhan Tayguner came free, but Talat Okdağ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orhun Reşit took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Talat Okdağ. Talat Okdağ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Maltepespor FK's Kürşat Attaroğlu got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Yunus Mirza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 minutes, Emrullah Mutlualp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yenifakili SK and the Maltepespor FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Talat Okdağ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burhan Tayguner in the 88th minute of the match. Battal Seyyit Yergin charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Battal Seyyit Yergin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Korkutalp Baldemir walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Many of Maltepespor FK's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Maltepespor FK may have spent more time on the ball, but Yenifakili SK were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
