Mehmet Ferit Sümeroğlu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tuncer Aldemir's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When Baykan Yorangil came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Süleoglu JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baykan Yorangil couldn't finish the play. Tuncer Aldemir struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mehmet Ferit Sümeroğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Süleoglu JK. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
