Feridun Eğriöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kocaelispor SK's Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay in the 4th minute of play. Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Petru Novacovici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kocaelispor SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Polonezköy FK the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Kocaelispor SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petru Novacovici to maneuver through the defense. If Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polonezköy FK. Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute Feridun Eğriöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polonezköy FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the game, Abdi Hacısalihoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polonezköy FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kocaelispor SK the free kick. The supporters of Kocaelispor SK booed when Polonezköy FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdi Hacısalihoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Mustafa Hirfanlı sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu skillfully saved the ball. Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Kocaelispor SK's zone, Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu came out of the goal and Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feridun Eğriöz struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polonezköy FK. Bircan Rusuhi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Boğaçhan Asker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Feridun Eğriöz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Feridun Eğriöz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 64th minute, Polonezköy FK's Feridun Eğriöz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. A collision led to Kocaelispor SK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ufuk Koray hit a great ball. Feridun Eğriöz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ahmet İlhan Geçimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Petru Novacovici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kocaelispor SK booed when Polonezköy FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Ceyhan Tokyay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polonezköy FK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
