After 19 played minutes Sapanca got a freekick which was hit by Çağlar Bekir. Doğuhan Tanaltan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güray Tura having to interfere. Doğuhan Tanaltan scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Güray Tura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. İldeniz Önen hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Doğuhan Tanaltan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güray Tura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Doğuhan Tanaltan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cebrail Sayrak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Güray Tura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kelkit's Doğuhan Tanaltan got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Sapanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tümer Seri to maneuver through the defense. Güray Tura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cebrail Sayrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doğuhan Tanaltan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Güray Tura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özmen Özerol to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sapanca's goalkeeper Güray Tura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doğuhan Tanaltan. Güray Tura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cebrail Sayrak in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özmen Özerol in the 57th minute of play forced Kelkit's goalkeeper Acun Tanbek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Birol Salcan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Birol Salcan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, one of Kelkit:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kelkit. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Sapanca. Tahir Ulaş stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Acun Tanbek. 1-2. In the 64th match minute, Sapanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tümer Seri to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Güray Tura managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Kelkit's Doğuhan Tanaltan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Doğuhan Tanaltan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Güray Tura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Cebrail Sayrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birol Salcan couldn't finish the play. If Doğuhan Tanaltan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Sapanca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kelkit were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
