They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Çelikan Denizhan to make the kick off. 62 minutes into the game, Eskihisar SK's İrfan Mutlusoy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nusret Erem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Eskihisar SK's Bülent Arpacıoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Eskihisar SK from getting a goal against them. When Alpertunga Özerek fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eskihisar SK's protests and gave Alpertunga Özerek a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Alpertunga Özerek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Eskihisar SK's Lütfi Usta got a free kick in the 75th minute. Bülent Arpacıoğlu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alim Bayer. When İrfan Mutlusoy came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Eskihisar SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İrfan Mutlusoy couldn't finish the play. Anıl Arda Tansan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Bülent Arpacıoğlu made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, İrfan Mutlusoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Çelikan Denizhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
