The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Enginalp Sıraç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without İbrahim Ethem Beycan having to interfere. İbrahim Ethem Özgenc scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of İbrahim Ethem Beycan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th match minute, Karatay SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enginalp Sıraç to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gölmarmara's Tolga Ünsaç got a free kick in the 11th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İbrahim Ethem Özgenc in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg İbrahim Ethem Beycan saved Gölmarmara from getting behind. In the 14th minute, Gölmarmara's Serdar Asutay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salih Cumali. Salih Cumali yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The audience was convinced that İbrahim Ethem Özgenc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but İbrahim Ethem Beycan was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Karatay SK's Ziya Onur Zorbey got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serdar Asutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Karatay SK's zone, Ahmet Erdem Toycan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salih Cumali came out of the goal and Ahmet Erdem Toycan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serdar Asutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Erdem Toycan struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Salih Cumali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gölmarmara. 32 minutes into the game, Ahmet Erdem Toycan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Salih Cumali. Ahmet Erdem Toycan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After some careless play in the Karatay SK defense, Serdar Asutay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salih Cumali. The Karatay SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salih Cumali should have stopped the shot. After 39 played minutes, Gölmarmara's Tolga Ünsaç shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Salih Cumali came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gölmarmara reached it. Serdar Asutay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Erdem Toycan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Erdem Toycan in the 48th minute of play forced Karatay SK's goalkeeper Salih Cumali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Erdem Toycan to make the kick off. İbrahim Ethem Beycan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Ethem Özgenc, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After having played for 56 minutes, Serdar Asutay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gölmarmara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serdar Asutay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Enginalp Sıraç fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karatay SK's protests and gave Enginalp Sıraç a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gölmarmara booed when Karatay SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enginalp Sıraç didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Gölmarmara's Vedat Ergenç tried to score from far away in the 61st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Salih Cumali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serdar Asutay's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, İbrahim Ethem Özgenc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karatay SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İbrahim Ethem Özgenc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tolga Ünsaç's late challenge caught a Karatay SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tolga Ünsaç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Gölmarmara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolga Ünsaç to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Gölmarmara getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sungurbey Balaman hit a great ball. If Enginalp Sıraç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gölmarmara's Serdar Asutay got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serdar Asutay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Erdem Toycan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salih Cumali read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serdar Asutay in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salih Cumali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 97 minutes, İbrahim Ethem Özgenc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karatay SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İbrahim Ethem Özgenc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gölmarmara had played much better football throughout.
